What I’ve been hearing

I finally took the time to try out the Zune Social website yesterday. Basically its like Myspace for music. It records all of the music that you are currently listening to and displays it for all the world to see. You can add friends on there and browse through what they are listening to and instantly listen to most of the songs they have listed to see if you like them. It really is a great way of finding and recommending music to others. The only problem is that you need to use the Zune software to record your listens. It also records what you’ve listened to on your Zune(Microsoft’s version of an ipod if you don’t know what one is). Now I’m not one to sell my soul to Microsoft (or Apple for that matter), but I must admit that this a really a cool simple interface to just share with the world what music you have been enjoying lately. You can check out my profile anytime you like with the link on the sidebar under “The Sound.” If you feel adventurous you can even try downloading the Zune software and creating your own profile. Be sure to add me as a friend on there if you do.
